Divine Order can assist with a range of services while working along side a family member to overseeing the entire estate clearing process from start to finish, acting as the local point of contact if family is out of town or physically unavailable.

Firsthand experience with estates

Acting as the executor of Kimberly’s father’s estate when he passed at 59 and also assisting with her beloved 98-year old grandfather’s estate, Kimberly understands the emotional toll clearing an estate can have on the primary person ‘in charge’.

Going through a loved one’s lifetime of belongings and making uncountable emotional decisions is an experience one never forgets. These experiences were very emotional and insightful, and impact how Divine Order clients are cared for when clearing a family member’s estate.

Kimberly can assist you with any of these tasks:

  • Physically go through every item (paperwork, documents, records, photos, boxes, drawers, cupboards)
  • Work with decision maker(s) to decide what to keep, sell or discard
  • Pack and ship/delivery items
  • Manage and/or coordinate the selling of high value and in demand items
  • Donate items of use/value to local charities and organizations
  • Collect, remove and dispose of all garbage, recyclables and hazardous materials (costs covered by client)
  • Bulk shredding of sensitive documents (costs covered by client)
  • Completely clear the home of all contents (includes garage, basement, sheds)
  • Thoroughly clean the interior of estate
  • Increase curb appeal with general yard clean up, adding plants, flower pots, etc
  • Find/refer/oversee service and trades people to perform minor updates and repairs (painting, filling cracks and nail holes)
  • Stage the home with existing furnishings and decor to for photos and showings

A sorting station is set up for estate clearing projects, with receptacles labeled with each category for easy recognition – keep, sell, consign, gift, donate, recycle, trash. This process helps expedite the many “What do we do with this?” decisions and allows for items to be quickly identified for removal from the home and what remaining tasks need completed.

Divine Order provides the service for a fee of dropping off car loads of donations and recyclables to the various depots and organizations throughout our community.
