Decluttering and Organizing
Are you tired of having so many belongings and want to minimize? Does decluttering and organizing your home feel overwhelming? Are you lacking the time, motivation, mobility or confidence to tackle this on your own?
Divine Order is here for you!
“I need more stuff!” said nobody
Let’s face it, we have too much stuff. And we keep buying more stuff to add to the stuff we have. And those unwanted gifts, ill-fitting clothing, super-sized roasting pan, broken items that never got repaired, old documents in boxes.
We buy containers to store our stuff. Shuffle stuff around from one area to another. Buy the perfect book to solve this ‘too much stuff’ dilemma.
If you’re feeling weighted down with too much stuff, there’s one tried and true solution to lighten your load..that’s simply Divine Order!
You’ll quickly see tangible results with Divine Order, from kitchens and kid’s rooms to attics and basements, go from clutter to calm in any space.
Let’s purge before organizing
Before shopping for more baskets, bins and containers to organize and store all your stuff in, let’s do a deep dive into your belongings. Let’s be scrupulous and purge those no longer wanted, needed, used or loved items. Those “I’ll get to that someday” areas like closets, the spare bedroom, garage or crammed basement.
Kimberly can assist you with sorting, decluttering, minimzing and organizing and solutions for effective storage that work with your space. Any space can be restored to your ideal vision and a more efficient working order.
The common areas /categories people typically require assistance with:
- Kitchens and food storage pantries
- Children’s and adult bedrooms
- Clothing and storage closets
- Laundry rooms and entrance ways
- Basements and garages
- Home office and home-based work spaces
- Outdated documents and paperwork
- Inherited belongings
- Rented storage lockers
Sorting items into categories
A sorting station is set up for most decluttering and organizing projects, with receptacles labeled with each category for easy recognition – keep, sell, consign, gift, donate, recycle, trash. This process helps expedite the many “Where does this go?” decisions and helps to quickly identify those items destined for outlets such as recycling depots or local charity organizations.
Divine Order can co-ordinate for you pick-up for larger volume or drop off carloads of donations and recyclables to various depots and organizations throughout our community. An additional service fee is charged per carload drop-off.
The sentimental items
Often times, we have sentimental attachments to some of our belongings. Some items might represent our childhood, a deceased loved one, past memories. We can hit a roadblock when wanting to move forward because these items are holding us back. Kimberly can work with you to help determine the best options for these items including:
- passed down dishes, antiques, books, photographs, furniture
- valuable family keepsakes
- old university textbooks and assignments
- grown children’s childhood artwork and projects
- a deceased loved one’s belongings
